What is The Arts? The Arts consists of two 2x2 Regions, The Arts & Open Mic Arts. The Arts was created by Cataplexia Numbers and depicts in many ways her lifelong commitment to The Arts.but FIRST... ”We need YOUR ART & PHOTOS!” Submit any art and photos to Cataplexia Numbers.

The Art Gallery will be housing art from artists around the hypergrid. The first and second floor will be 2D art and photography. The Third Floor will be 3D art surrounding the Cafe’.

The Arts come alive @ Alternate Metaverse every summer! We have previously had summer carnivals along with our arts mixed in but the two will be separated, moving the ART to The Arts! Look for many incredible live events in this festival as well as art!

Open Mic Arts

Is exactly as it sounds, an Open Mic Stage accepting talent by avatars throughout Alternate Metaverse & The OpenSim Hypergrid as well! We will be holding Live Open Mic events on Saturdays from 3-5PM which will be Hosted by our very own Chris Dayellis! We will accept people in the order of which they sign up. Some of the talent will include: Bands, Singers, Musicians, Poets, Storytellers, Comedians & Free-stylers! What hidden talents do YOU have??

The Club Caddywampus opened its doors to the public on the 17th April 2023, this is not your ordinary Club.

Exciting Dinkie News to be told, that on Wednesday, 19th of April, the Funsize Dinkies World Resort had a Group of Visitors from the “HG Safari” Group that popped over to check out the Resort with their very own eyes, exploring the Region, and understanding how such small cute cats and one Chompy can live and play at Funsize Dinkies World Resort on AMV. This is the first and only time that Standard sized Avatars can set foot onto the Resort as this is the Only dedicated Dinkies World on Opensim that is known publicly, and The Dinkies on AMV would like to Thank Thirza and Mal for taking time with your crew to visit the Funsize Dinkies World Resort..

AMV grid is Adults only and filled with a wide variety of clubs, schools, art galleries, Free shopping areas, Holiday & Seasonal regions, beaches with swimming and surfing (including a clothing optional beach), castles and fantasy areas!

For entertainment, Alternate Metaverse throws an annual Festivals of the Arts & Carnival, Fashion shows, Koryphon Academy Events & Classes, Burns Night events, Halloween, Christmas & New Years Events as well as Annual Winterfest, Autumnfest, AMV Birthday parties, Valentines Parties, Easter egg hunts and Easter parties. We are open to all who wish to call Alternate Metaverse Grid their home!

AMV’s main goal is to provide all of our residents with an inclusive, happy and creative atmosphere that they can feel comfortable to live in, with great entertainment and amenities already built into the grid, and they of course are free to build and add what they wish to add to this community, we offer education and supportive chat on many levels and a very dedicated, supportive and well educated staff.

AI Art Creation - MidJourney with Cataplexia Numbers took place on Wednesday the 26th April as a one off Class at the Koryphon Academy.

Cataplexia Numbers brought “Art Creation” by using the AI Software called “Midjourney”

Cataplexia gave useful prompts and techniques for getting the most out the AI Renders, the class was great for beginners to advanced AI creators. The Classroom was equipped with real-time discord to Midjourney creation.

This is a topic that will need to be to be done again in the future for all Art fans.

Cataplexia Numbers created this Art Work using MidJourney, just see how clean cut and indepth high quality the image is.

If you are a Creative Designer in any world you live in, maybe it is worth to check out MidJourney for yourself, and if you didnt make it to the one off class with Cataplexia on the 26th April.

BUILDING CLASS ON BLUE PRINT So Far....

From the first of January the Building Classes started up with Rique Giano, the last class for this season ends on the 27th May.

The Students learnt so much in this time leading up to how to build a house on blue print with all the knowledge of what they have learnt in all the classes since season one.

Pasta with Bacon and Peas

Pasta with Bacon and Peas is a quick, satisfying, and inexpensive meal that you can make with ingredients that you can keep on hand.

Ingredients

8 oz. pasta

6 oz. bacon

1 small onion

1 cup frozen peas

1/4 cup grated Parmesan

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp freshly cracked black pepper

1/8 tsp crushed red pepper (optional)

“FOOD FOR THOUGHT”

STEPS FOR COOKING

1 - Bring a pot of water to a boil for the pasta. Once boiling, add the pasta and continue to boil until the pasta is tender (7-10 minutes). Reserve about a half cup of the starchy pasta water before draining the pasta in a colander.

2 - While the pasta is boiling, cook the bacon. Add the bacon to a large skillet and cook over medium heat until brown and crispy. Transfer the cooked bacon to a paper towel lined plate with a slotted spoon. Drain most of the bacon grease from the pan, leaving about 2 Tbsp.

3 - While the bacon is cooking, finely dice the onion. Add the diced onion to the remaining bacon grease and sauté until tender (about 5 minutes).

4 - Add the frozen peas and about ¼ cup of the reserved pasta water to the skillet. Continue to cook and stir until the peas have heated through.

5 - Add the drained pasta to the skillet, stir to combine, and remove from the heat.

6 - Top the pasta with Parmesan, salt, pepper, crushed red pepper, and crumbled bacon. Stir to combine.

Taste and adjust the salt and pepper to your liking.
